Needing inspiration

I visited a different library in our shire and found a good collection of books for browsing and hopefully kick start me into doing some creating. It has worked, I started knitting my 12 year old Jack Russell a winter coat, he has been shivering and shaking in the mornings and I guess he probably has some arthritis so a nice woollen jumper should help him through the winter.

I have always liked Debbie Bliss knitting books and you can always learn something new. I love the little crochet book and I think that is what I will be working on in the next week or so, I have never followed a crochet pattern and I think it's about time I learned how to do so. The vintage quilting book is right up my alley, I'm a real collector of vintage fabrics and old linens so now I just need to start using them. I have to admit I don't like cutting into them, they seem precious and although not in perfect condition some of the time they still could tell some stories.

So what are you all being inspired by at the moment? Tell me it might help me.

My inspiration probably won't work for you. It's spring.

I'm spring cleaning my closets, my stash, and my mind. I'm slowing down getting ready for the hot, humid days of summer.

I'm stopping to smell the flowers and enjoy these last few temperate days.

My niece, Madi, works at our local library. Recently she has been asked to do some shifts at another library (which is linked to ours). Anyway, yesterday when we picked her up she had cleaned out their quilting section - she must have had 12 books on quilting! Very inspiring.

Any book called cozy crochet has to be good! I also like the One Skein book by Leigh Radford.
