Hopefully................

..............I will complete this little cardigan in record time! Just maybe! It's a great little neck down knitted all in one garment with no sewing up at all, just a few ends to darn in. All is going well so far, the lace yolk was a pleasure to knit in the gorgeous Oro Inca 70% baby alpaca and 30 % silk yarn, it's so soft and the pattern was so simple. I bought this yarn at my Local Yarn Store (LYS), Absolutely Alpaca at Mogo on the weekend, it's a silver blue/mauve shade, not grey as it appears in the photos. I've ploughed my way through new neater non-wrapped short row shaping after the yolk and am just about to divide for the sleeves then get my head around bust darts! This knit is testing me as I've never short rowed other than on sock heels, just making sense of the new techniques has been daunting but I won't let it defeat me. You can find the Hope cardigan pattern in Yarn Magazine issue 12, Dec 2008. So far no one on Ravelry has knit it other than Jennie Pakula (knittingnerd on Ravelry)the cardigans clever designer but there are 40 in queues waiting to be knit so I might get beaten if I don't get back to my knitting.
