A little warm hat for a wee lad who is just about to turn one and his mum sadly for them has to return to work. Knit from Cleckheaton Tapestry which is an 8ply or double knit pure Australian wool, that washes and wears beautifully. Sadly, Tapestry doesn't seem to be available on Australian Country Spinners website, if you find any buy it. The pattern is Sid Beanie by Georgie Hallam, the pattern is a free one from Ravelry. The only modification I made was using only one colour and then extending the icord point so I could tie a knot instead of adding a tassell, very easy and quick pattern with only two tails of wool to sew in.
