My Place...........so inspiring

I know a few of the quilters out there will be very envious about the work trip I was asked to make yesterday. After 3 hours travel we arrived at the most beautiful patchwork and home wares store, My Place in Bowral. No shop website so far but you can visit MODA home current catalogues to get an idea of what I saw! MODA also has fabulous free quilt patterns that go with fabric ranges they release. If you love modern fresh Moda fabrics, home wares and really inspiring quilt designs then you need to make your way to this store. The shop itself is a quaint little two story house that just lends itself so well to showing off the shops wares, there are a number of fireplaces, sash windows, a steep old staircase, timber floors and lining, and a lovely little cobbled courtyard entrance. These photos do not do the shop justice...........I stuffed up I had been taking macro photos recently and hadn't readjusted the camera correctly, I'm really kicking myself now!

The fabric store I have worked in for almost 9 years is about to undergo some major changes and as the shop decorator I had to go and view new stock and display ideas ready to begin major works later next month. We came home with a car full of new shop props and our heads spinning with ideas to work through. I wish that little shop was just a little closer to home and I think I would be haunting it very often. It was a big day out and I did return with a couple of purchases and I was very restrained I didn't buy any fabric simply because I just didn't have a new project in my head ready to go. Next time I will!
