Hot afternoon............

............what to do? Get in your swimmers, grab a lilo and a body board and float down the river with the tide. Dear Husband and I decided this sounded like a good plan, what a great trip, so relaxing and a southerly change blew in while were out enjoying ourselves so we came home cool and refreshed. I guess we did get a few funny looks from other beach and river users but we didn't care we had fun in the great outdoors for a couple of hours. We are so lucky to live in a great little coastal village on the east coast of Australia, and the whole family just loves the water so I don't think we will ever move away from our little beach house.

That sounds like a fantastic afternoon. It must be wonderful living next to your own personal log flume.

That sounds like a great afternoon. We spent hours lounging in the pool (ok that should read being jumped on by the kids in the pool)

That is so neat.

Steve and I have tubed (as in tire tube) down the Delaware River in Pennsylvania. But, you have to have someone pick you up by vehicle a few miles from your start. No neat "head into the ocean" option.

We have also river rafted the Nantahala and the Ocoee Rivers. THAT was a lot of fun, but COLD!!! They are lake fed rivers and on the Nantahala the dam flows from the bottom pulling very cold water down the river.

sounds idyllic.
we went to the beach yesterday too but it was cooler here and it was rough but the boys loved it.
we are in for a scorcher of a week :(
made even worse by the fact that the kids go back to school this week.
i just have to remind myself that it's not forever - although if i remember last year......
enjoy your weekend

Hi Paula,

Glad to know you found my blog and if I can help you in any way just ask. It is fun, I've met so many lovely bloggers from all over the world and I can look back over the last two years and recall many great days in my otherwise ordinary life. Let me know when you get you blog up and going.

Hi Lisa, Just thought I would let you know that I have finally started a blog too. I am not too computer savvy but it is looking OK and will be a good record of my stitching adventures. Your pictures of the coast look so wonderful! Fancy moving here!!!!
