Why I live where I live............

..............and will do for some time yet. It's almost 19 years since we moved into this village and around the corner from a very talented watercolour artist, Ian "Bill" McKenzie. Finally on Sunday we made it to one of his little neighbourhood showings and picked ourselves up a fairly large scene from our lookout towards the south, a favourite view of ours and it shows the two best beaches in the area. If you click on the photo you will see a couple of houses, one is Bill's and ours isn't shown (artistic license) but is just to the left. I know this photo doesn't do the painting justice, taken while squatting on the floor to avoid reflections in the glass and in poor lighting conditions.

What a stunning painting of a gorgeous view. You really are lucky to live where you live! But you know that already don't you ;-)

Any chance you have an extra room or two? I think we would love it there.

It looks like a beautiful spot.

I'm not sure why, but when I read Breath I kept picturing one of the photos I'd seen on your blog and I kept imagining it set on your side of the country rather than the western side.

one day, i would love to come and visit and see it for myself.
