It's ANZAC Day

I awoke to the sound of a pipe band warming up, it happens just once a year when we celebrate ANZAC Day.  We all jumped out of bed, dressed hurriedly and raced out the gate to watch the start of our local parade and then followed them by foot to  the formal service held in our village.  I came across these two calm horses waiting to re-enact the Australian Lighthorse Troops.  This ANZAC Day is the last one we have a school aged child marching with their school in the parade and the first one we have a child of ours currently serving in the Australian Defence Force.
