Coolamon scarecrow festival was a fun day

Donna and I decided we needed to participate in this fun event, so we hastily built our little scarecrow.  The ever helpful ladies at the local Vinnie's store helped with the jeans and a cushion cover that I filled with a bagful of crocheted Christmas decorations, they also provided a black marker pen to give him a scary face.  Donna's kids provided all the other items, he brightened our window and is still there if you are passing by.

The funniest thing happened as soon as our little guy was in the window his doppelganger appeared on the bench outside our shop!

The shop is looking fantastic thanks to Donna's great work.

Our little shop was full to capacity most of the day.

These must be the naughty scarecrows all tied up to a tree int he park.

Tradie scarecrow and his twin passing by.

A cute little girl scarecrow.

Toolman Tim the scarecrow.

A very happy and welcoming scarecrow, not sure he would scare anyone!

A very shy scarecrow in Somerset Rose tending his flowers.

It wasn't windy enough to find out what these kilt wearing lads were wearing underneath.

The street was full of old classics.

There were a few live scarecrows wandering the streets, there was a $300 prize for the best one so I guess that motivated those scarecrows.

The cross-stitched wooden hearts are now hanging on lovely coloured leather and there are only 3 left now.

Some spring inspired linen cushions, perfect for your verandah.

The latest small quilt has made it's way into our shop, featuring ric-rac in the binding and a bit of hand quilting and embroidery.

And the best part was staying at Sweet Briar Bed and Breakfast, it is simply wonderful.  The hosts Andre and Keryl are so welcoming and made our stay just perfect.  Our little cottage was cozy and so comfortable, it felt like home.  We'll be back!
